We hereby report on the detailed characterization of the size dependence of several optical properties of colloidal PbS quantum dots. Seven transitions have been monitored in their variation with size and the results are compared with available theories. The molar extinction coefficients per particle (as well as the absorption cross section per particle) are also measured in their size dependence and they are found to be strongly size dependent. If time will allow we will further discuss on our results on the oscillator strength of the lowest 1S-1S transition.
