The progress on the epoxidation of propylene catalyzed by a reaction-controlled phase transfer catalyst to propylene oxide was described. The catalyst forms oil soluble active species in the presence of H2O2, and when the H2O2 is used up, it precipitates by itself and is easy for recycling.
