Advances in nucleic acid shape recognition by aminosugars

Approaches to recognition of nucleic acids by small molecules have been largely limited to polyamide based recognition of B-form DNA structures. However, nucleic acid shape and structure presents other unexplored opportunities for expanding molecular recognition of nucleic acids. In this seminar, I will present the progress made in the shape recognition of A- and B-form nucleic acids by aminosugars.
