A green and environment-friendly silver nanoparticles have been produced by the reaction of silver nitrate and sesbania gum. This is the first report of Ag nanoparticles reduced by sesbania gum, Silver-sesbania gum nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Vis spectrum, transmission electron microscopy and infrared absorption spectrum. The colloid is very stable, it has no significant aggregate about two months. And we also have prepared gold nanoparticles by sesbania gum. So this is a simple method to prepare stabilized green noble metal colloid, and we think that it will have a wide application in the future.
