Several new multi-metallic Th(IV) and U(IV) complexes have been prepared by treatment of [Cp2An(CH3)2] or [Cp2An(CH3)X] with derivatives of dicycanobenzene and phenylenediamine. We will discuss the electronic, magnetic, and structural properties of these new materials that have been characterized by UV-vis-NIR and 1H NMR spectroscopies, electrochemical methods, SQUID magnetometry, and X-ray crystallography. Theoretical calculations of optimized geometries will also be presented.
