New pincer (PXP) ligands with σ-donor element in the middle

In the previous years, our group's efforts have been focused on PNP pincer ligands with a weak σ-donor but strong π-donor element in the middle which can form robust complexes with the metal. We are now exploring some PXP pincer ligands with strong σ-donor element in the middle, for example, PBP, PSiP which are shown in the figure below. Our presentation will discuss the structure and the reactivity of the new PXP pincer complexes.
