| Community programs are a fundamental way of creating interest in the sciences. Chemistry can be truly exciting and has a way of Wowing its viewers when demonstrations are preformed in public venues. Yet, there is another way of creating a WOW - and is by inspiring people to think about how they can contribute. Green chemistry provides a way to inspire and create a forum for generating ideas and solutions. This paper will look at how to create the WOW using green chemistry and hopefuly engage the public in a discussion of how they can support the sciences. |
