Companies typically use an invention disclosure system to process inventors' discoveries and determine whether to pursue patent protection. These disclosures are also used by patent attorneys to help draft the patent application. This presentation will look at the purpose of invention disclosure systems, the qualities of a good invention disclosure form, and how best to help the patent attorney with preparing the application.
