| An ODN with the double-headed nucleoside 2'-deoxy-2'-C-(2-(thymin-1-yl)ethyl)uridine has shown stabilizing ability towards both DNA:RNA and DNA:DNA duplex when arranged with the additional nucleobase in the branching point of tree way junctions. We wish to investigate if the stabilizing ability is dependent on the length and flexibility of the carbon-linker to the secondary nucleobase. We here present the synthesis of an analogue with a methyl-linker.
