Protein conjugation using click chemistry

To facilitate conjugation of molecules to proteins, optimization of a model copper catalyzed formal [3+2]-cycloaddition of alkyne and azide, “Click Chemistry”, was performed. Amounts and timing of reagent additions were varied to improve the alkyne consumption from <50% to >95%.
