Rhenium catalyzed vinylations of carboxylic acids

Vinylesters find widespread use as versatile reagents as well as bulk materials in the chemical industry. Rhenium complexes have been developed for easy and chemoselective access of vinylesters from carboxylic acids and terminal alkynes. In particular, high selectivities for anti-markownikov additions were found.
