The CWCS workshops inspired me to develop and run a workshop in my field. During the academic year 2006-2007, I obtained a University of Wisconsin System (UWS) Office of Professional and Instructional Development (OPID) Conference Development grant to develop a workshop on Enhancing Teaching and Learning Chemistry with NBO. The workshop was held on April 22, 2006 at the University of Wisconsin-Washington County (UW-WC) campus as a one-day workshop. The presenters were Dr. Frank Weinhold, Department of Chemistry, University of Wisconsin-Madison and Dr. Mohamed Ayoub, Department of Chemistry, UW-WC. The workshop included theoretical background of NBO, tutorials, examples for teaching NBO in undergraduate chemistry courses, and hands-on applications in different chemical systems. Future workshops are being considered and developed.
