| Course and curriculum improvements were made to Northwest Nazarene University's chemistry program by integrating a high field FT-NMR into each undergraduate chemistry laboratory. New labs were developed around an integrated theme rather than by course title. Students showed improved satisfaction towards organic chemistry and the new integrated labs, with significant improvement in stimulating interest in chemistry. Results from a curriculum and student satisfaction inventory survey will be presented. The new NMR was supported by grants from the National Science Foundation CCLI-ANI program and the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. |
