| Dudley Herron is famous for his research and scholarship on chemistry education, and his impact has been felt across science education. But Dudley was never satisfied with simply knowing how students learned chemistry or what constituted good teaching practices. He insisted that actual classrooms should become better as a result of this research. And his work led to improvements at all levels. This is especially clear for secondary chemistry education, through his work with pre-service teachers and practicing teachers in the state of Indiana and throughout the nation. |
