Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) is a comprehensive state university serving more than 10,000 commuter students. Northeastern's diverse population is a microcosm of the Chicago metropolitan area. The purpose of our participation in the CASPiE project is to offer undergraduate research experiences to students with diverse academic, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. We developed a Biodiesel module to be implemented in the organic chemistry two semester courses. The module implementation is set into the existing lab curriculum and scheduled for all enrolled students in each course. Different models of peer-leader facilitation in laboratory are being explored. This presentation will focus on the different implementations of the module, its current development and its challenges
