This work will present the synthesis of a new series of Ni(L)2 compounds, where L represents an alloxan-based thiosemicarbazone or semicarbazone ligand complexed with nickel(II). These eight new ligands were characterized by 1H NMR and IR spectroscopy. These ligands are: alloxan-thiosemicarbazone, alloxan-methyl thiosemicarbazone, alloxan-ethyl thiosemicarbazone, alloxan-phenylthiosemicarbazone, alloxan-benzyl thiosemicarbazone, alloxan-dimethyl thiosemicarbazone, alloxan-semicarbazone, and alloxan-phenylsemicarbazone.
