Metal catalysts have proven to be an efficient method for the formation of carbocyclic ring systems. The focus of this research has been the study of new methods for the cyclization of B-alkoxy dienes. The reactions are catalyzed by an organozirconium reagent. The effect of changes in the ligand environment of the zirconium catalyst on the reaction stereochemistry has been investigated.
