Department mission statements and assessment plans: Lessons from the trenches at an undergraduate liberal arts college

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Calvin College adopted a detailed mission statement and assessment plan in 2003-04. This presentation will discuss the positives and negatives of this plan as we have attempted to implement it over the past several years. Ideas for revision will be discussed.
