| Bioactive natural products enable dissection of important biological pathways, validation of therapeutic targets, and invention of new synthetic transformations. The lecture will focus on the synergy of our efforts that are aimed at the development of practical synthetic approaches to complex natural products and elucidation of the mode of action of these agents at the cellular and molecular levels. Several representative example of our work in this area will be presented, including the synthesis and revision of the mechanism of action of Bistramide A, a highly potent antiproliferative marine natural product. |
