Kennesaw State University was awarded the Merck/AAAS Undergraduate Science Research Program Award in 2004. Upon its completion in 2006, fifteen undergraduate students and a total of nine faculty members have benefited from this summer experience. Each student is required to present on campus at the Annual Symposium of Student Scholars. A number of the Merck Scholars have presented at regional and national conferences and have gone on to graduate school and medical school. At this point, many have not yet graduated, but are interested in graduate school. Results from the experiences of four faculty members will be presented.
