| A new teacher training course in chemistry has been developed for the State of Texas as part of the No Child Left Behind initiative. Integrating the activities of professors in chemistry and education with the operations of the State of Texas has been a particular challenge. The cycle of funding, reporting requirements, copyright requirements and mandatory collaborations have all affected the progress of the project. The development process, final syllabus and evaluation of the project will be presented. The integration of pedagogy and content was a primary goal of the project and will be addressed. The follow-up evaluation of the teachers and their teaching will be described. |
