| College of DuPage, a Chicago area community college is one of the original participants in the CASPiE program. We are implementing it in both General Chemistry 2 and Organic Chemistry 2 as an integral part of the laboratory experience. Research experience at this level is a challenge at any institution and utilizing the PLTL model is especially problematic in the second year course here. The challenges and rewards we have experienced in the past year and a half will be discussed, including student response to this project. |
