Teri W. Odom, todom@northwestern.edu, Department of Chemistry, Northwestern University, 2145 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL 60208
This talk will discuss how to design research-based courses for freshmen and sophomores with an emphasis on nanoscale patterning using bottom-up and top-down approaches. Examples of course content, including small group activities, web-based modules, and online laboratory manuals on nanoscale experiments, which have been tested over several years, will be highlighted.
