Advances in ACE Organic, an on-line organic chemistry homework program

ACE Organic is a Web-based organic chemistry homework program that allows students to draw organic structures in response to questions and provides feedback specific to students' particular incorrect responses. We have been expanding the scope of ACE Organic to be able to ask more kinds of questions. Students can now draw mechanisms freehand in response to questions, and ACE can evaluate the mechanisms and provide appropriate feedback. ACE can also now ask questions that require students to label particular atoms in a compound and draw particular conformers.
