Learning from nature

Humans have invented many things by learning from nature: airplanes, polymers, medicines, materials, etc. We have focused on learning to imitate enzymes, not slavishly copying them but taking advantage of their fundamental principles. In this talk we will summarize our achievements to date, and the goals for the future of this field.
