Modern SFC: A Phoenix Technique | |||
| Sponsor: Thar Technologies, Inc. Booths, 1501,1503. Speaker: Dr. Lester Dolak. 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM. Room: Presentation Theater, Halls B&C, Moscone Convention Center. Chromatographers are adopting Supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) as the method of choice. Many reverse phase separations can be done using SFC. The advantages of SFC are numerous and include reduced methods development times, higher sample throughputs, enhanced safety, and lower costs. These advantages are increased when one purifies kilos of substrates using SFC instruments that can pump a kg/min of carbon dioxide. Pharmaceutical companies were quick to appreciate these advantages and chromatography labs have at least begun to replace LC with SFC. This is especially true for separations on chiral stationary phases. |
