A Mettler-Toledo ReactIR system has been used for in-line, real-time monitoring of the product stream from a spinning tube-in-tube reactor (STTŪ, Kreido Laboratories, Camarillo California). This combination of a process intensified continous-flow reactor and an in-situ analytical system has allowed for the rapid optimization of process conditions in order to quickly maximize the conversion of starting materials to products in the STTŪ. This presentation will provide results on chemical reactions performed utilizing this reactor-instrument combination.
