In this study, cyclic acetal was used as coinitiator for BP derivatives. The influence of chemical structure of photoinitiating system on the kinetis of diacrylate was investigated. The real-time near FTIR technique was used to monitor the extent of polymerization. The results showed that, five-numbered cyclic acetals showed to be effective synergist for aromatic ketones. Chemical structure of both BP derivatives and cyclic acetals had great influence on the kinetic of polymerization of HDDA, which was attributed to the stereoelectronic effects of the formed radicals. CBP/MDO combinations had the highest initiating reactivity.
