NiO/CeO2-TiO2 catalyst was explored for ethanol steam reforming. The experimental tests were carried out at a programmed temperature between 623 and 873K with different space velocity and different water/ethanol ratio. The catalysts were prepared by three different methods, including co-precipitation, impregnation, and critic acid method. Ethanol completely conversed at 400°C and H2 selectivity reached more than 60% over these catalysts. Out products only contain H2, CH4, CO and CO2. There is nearly no coke formation in products. The comparative results show that catalyst performance was influenced by different preparation method to some extent. Catalyst prepared by impregnation method not only show high activity but excellent stability. The co-precipitation catalyst show high H2 selectivity, which can arrived 68% at 500°C.
