| Four years ago I was a typical teacher, the ‘sage on the stage'. I had excellent teaching evaluations and was about to be granted tenure. Challenged by a new building, new colleagues, and students who understood everything when I talked about it but less when it was their turn to talk, I left the stage for POGIL and three years later I haven't looked back. What caused me to leave the stage, how I was hooked by the NSF MID project and, my journey through a sea of POGIL workshops leading finally to my role as a workshop facilitator will be discussed. |
