Salutes to Excellence and ChemLuminary Awards for National Chemistry Week are recognition programs of the Office of Community Activities. The Salutes to Excellence program gives ACS members an opportunity to recognize the positive impact made by a product of chemistry, a practitioner of chemistry, or a place of importance in chemistry with the presentation of a commemorative plaque. ChemLuminary Awards for National Chemistry Week, formerly the Phoenix Awards, recognize local sections that have demonstrated exemplary performance in the development and implementation of outstanding activities in support of National Chemistry Week. Come see how these programs can be used to enhance outreach efforts and encourage volunteer participation in your area.
