The Trost ligand has been used in conjunction with palladium to form highly active enantioselective catalysts for a number of organic reactions. It is believed that the structure of the active complex does not incorporate the coordination of the dicarboxamido nitrogen atoms of the ligand. In order to fully investigate these catalyst systems, we have synthesized a number of dicarboxamido-diphosphino coordinated group 10 metal complexes. Herein, we report on the synthesis and properties of these complexes.
