The University of Connecticut SAACS Chapter strives to generate and share enthusiasm for chemistry with members of our community. Activities have included a Grad School Roundtable, a presentation by Pfizer, and chemistry demonstrations and activities during National Chemistry week. We participated in the CPTV Family Science Expo through a chemistry outreach project and performed chemistry demo shows at the event. During finals, our chapter organized a campus wide Salvation Army donation, where students donated used items to charity. We have participated in fundraising through the selling of chemistry tee-shirts, Krispy Kreme donuts, and ACS Review books for Organic Chemistry. Finally, we have distributed a newsletter to the campus in order to raise awareness about our chapter's activities.
