| When developing a distance chemistry laboratory course, there are not many current models with which to compare/contrast options for the instructor and educational institution. Pretty good practices (as opposed to best practices) include wet chemistry experiences for students using kitchen and green chemistry laboratory techniques that can be performed at home. Online software options and video production can be used as a backdrop for those wet lab experiences that simply cannot be done without a chemistry laboratory. Specific commercial software applications will be shown, as well as simulations developed in house. Design and delivery of both hybrid and completely online courses will be discussed. |
