Acetylenic ethers as electrophilic and nucleophilic partners in Pd(0) catalyzed heterocouplings

In our progress towards [12] and [14]-fecapentaene, our synthetic strategy has centered around the utilization of linchpin methodology where the linchpin is stereo and chemoselectively coupled to either a nucleophilic acetylenic ether derivative or to an electrophilic vinyl ether iodide. The results of these studies will be detailed.
