For the first time, we will present a novel method of employing high pressure crystallography (HPC) in crystallization of low-boiling XCF2CF2X (X = Br and I) within a diamond anvil cell (DAC). HPC allowed us to obtain the first solid state structure of these compounds at ambient temperature
