First year inquiry in a large "Chemistry and Society" course

"Chemistry and Society" is a type of introductory course for non-science majors in many colleges and university. The presentation will describe an inquiry-guided class with 130 students in a fixed-seat amphitheatre style classroom. Discussions will include the use of teaching assistants, experimental activities, electronic clickers, and some results collected on student learning objectives and student evaluation forms.
