| The most valuable change in the component composition of the FCC catalysts in 1990-s (in comparison with 1970-s and 1980-s) last century was transition from using in these catalysts the Zeolites such as ReY (SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio 4,5 –5,0) to applying ultrastable zeolite ReUSY (SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio 5,6-17) with the purpose of increasing octane numbers of gasoline and yields of light olefins C3-C5. Catalytic properties in the cracking of n-hexane on the low-alumina Y zeolite (LAY) prepared by direct synthesis without using any templating agents or post-synthesis dealumination procedures were studied. The authors conducted survey of samples of LAY zeolites with framework SiO2/Al2O3 ratios respectively equal to 5,5, 6,0 and 6,5. Residual sodium (Na2O) content in samples LAY zeolites used to change in the range of 2,0-9,0 % wt. ion-exchange procedures using NH4Cl aqueous solution. Among all tested samples LAY zeolites is the most efficient for further studies as component in the commercial FCC. The most efficient is LAY Zeolite sample with modulus equal to 6,0 (removal Na20 to 1,0 wt% and lower is not required) which is defining the conducting of the further surveys for developing commercial FCC catalysts based on this sample. |
