A blue-light-emitting monomer, 9-hydroxyl-9-vinyl-4,5-diazafluorene was methacrylated to produce polymerizable methacrylate-type monomer without blue-light-emitting properties. However, the new methacrylate-type monomer copolymerized with styrene, methyl methacrylate, and butyl methacrylate to produce copolymers with blue-light-emitting properties.
