Ultra-fine fibers from electrospinning of thermoset epoxy resin

Ultra-fine epoxy fibers were prepared by electrospinning of epoxy 609 solutions in the mixture of methyl ethyl ketone and ethylene glycol monomethyl ether. The morphology of the electrospun epoxy 609 fibers was investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that the electrospun epoxy fibers had solid structure. Higher solution concentration favored the formation of uniform fibers without beads. The diameters of the electrospun epoxy 609 fibers increased with increasing the solution concentration
