Designing of switchable nanoscale surfaces by using basic principles of surface physical chemistry

We discuss our recent results in the field of tailored nanoscale surface layers with switchable properties and tunable response. Surface layers considered here include binary polymer brushes, brush layers from binary branched molecules, and sandwiched polymers nanocoatings with tri-layered structure.
