| An experimental study on degradation of polyacrylonitrile fiber wastewater by microwave irradiation treatment was carried out. Several different factors including the time of reaction, power of the microwaves, the initial pH of polyacrylonitrile fiber wastewater and the influence of catalyst were investigated. The biodegradability of wastewater treated in the optimum conditions was also investigated. The results showed that the optimal time of reaction is 20 seconds and the suitable initial pH is 3-5; the optimal power of the microwaves is 300W. The catalysis effect of MnO2 and TiO2 is obvious. The best amount of MnO2 and TiO2 is 50mg/L. The removal efficiency of COD can be reached about 60%. |
