Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been under intense research in academia and industry. This contribution clarifies the confusion associated with the photometric and radiometric measurements of OLEDs. Measurement parameters such as luminance, radiance and luminous flux, power efficiency and quantum efficiency will be discussed and clarified. Design of the OLED testing system will focus on acceptable methods for measurement such as; proper integrating sphere design, luminance and radiance measurements. Elaborate and economic experimental setups that are calibrated to NIST standards will be examined.
